About the Campaign

On August 26, landslides caused devastating flash floods in Nepal and along the Nepal-Tibet border, following what scientists believe to be the collapse of a glacier.
Samaritan’s Purse has sent a Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) to Nepal to work with trusted Christian partners on the ground, whom we also worked with after the devastating 2015 earthquake. An airlift of emergency supplies is in the works, which will bring tarps, blankets, solar lights, hygiene kits, and more. Beyond tangible relief items, our response will also focus on emergency feeding, which is already underway.

Ideas to get you started

Birthday fundraiser

Have birthday guests ask for donations rather than gifts. Encourage others to also set up a fundraising page where every dollar raised goes directly to humanitarian aid, where it’s needed most.

Fitness challenge

You can either plan this fundraiser as a virtual challenge for people to complete on their own time or gather everyone to participate in the challenge together.

Game night

Game nights are a popular way to support your cause. By creating a fundraiser today, you’ll help families receive relief faster and begin rebuilding their lives sooner.

The DART is a group of highly-trained and specialized staff serving in different areas, such as clean water, emergency medicine, and shelter construction. The DART is ready at a moment's notice to be activated by our Incident Management Team, deployed to a disaster site, and begin providing emergency relief for affected families.
