About the Campaign
On August 26, landslides caused devastating flash floods in Nepal and along the Nepal-Tibet border, following what scientists believe to be the collapse of a glacier.
Samaritan’s Purse has sent a team of disaster relief specialists to Nepal to work with trusted Christian partners on the ground, whom we also worked with after the devastating 2015 earthquake. An airlift of of 81,000 pounds of relief supplies arrived on Wednesday, September 3, delivering tarps, blankets, solar lights, hygiene kits, water filters, and more. Beyond tangible relief items, our response will also focus on emergency feeding, which is already underway.
